Trimbow

Before taking this medicine

Do not use Trimbow if you are allergic to beclomethasone dipropionate, formoterol fumarate, glycopyrrolate or any other ingredient. It must not be used as the primary treatment for a severe asthma attack requiring intensive care. Do not start Trimbow when asthma is rapidly worsening or use it to relieve sudden symptoms. Do not combine it with another medicine containing a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA), because of the risk of overdose. Tell your prescriber if you have heart or blood vessel disease, seizures, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, ketoacidosis, low blood potassium, reduced bone density, glaucoma, cataracts, or difficulty passing urine, including from an enlarged prostate or bladder-neck obstruction. Severe liver impairment requires monitoring. In severe kidney impairment, Trimbow should be considered only if the potential benefit outweighs the risk. Use requires caution if you have tuberculosis or a fungal, bacterial, viral or parasitic infection, including herpes simplex affecting the eye. Infections may worsen, and chickenpox or measles can be serious or fatal in susceptible people. Tell your prescriber if you are switching from systemic corticosteroids, as impaired adrenal function can occur. Trimbow can also cause excess corticosteroid effects or adrenal suppression. Bone density and eye health may need monitoring. Stop using Trimbow and seek medical help if breathing suddenly worsens immediately after inhalation. Contact a healthcare provider immediately if symptoms of narrow-angle glaucoma or difficulty passing urine occur. Rinse your mouth with water and spit it out after inhalation to help reduce the risk of fungal infection in the mouth and throat.
