About Plendil
Overview
Plendil contains felodipine, a prescription calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure helps reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. It works by reducing resistance in the blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure.

Side effects
The most commonly reported side effects of felodipine are swelling, particularly around the ankles or feet, and headache. Other reported effects include flushing, dizziness, weakness, a feeling of warmth, palpitations, nausea, indigestion, constipation, tingling and rash. Swelling was more frequent with increasing age and higher doses. Gum enlargement has also been reported; improved dental hygiene may help prevent or reduce it. Contact a doctor promptly for chest pain, fainting, low blood pressure, a fast or irregular heartbeat, difficulty breathing, or facial swelling. Serious events reported include heart attack, angina, abnormal heart rhythms and angioedema (swelling beneath the skin). The label states that the relationship between felodipine and these less frequent or post-marketing events is uncertain.

Storage
Store below 25°C in a dry place, in the original pack, away from direct light and moisture. Do not keep it in a bathroom. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
