About Xiidra
Overview
Xiidra is an eye drop solution containing the active ingredient lifitegrast. It is used to treat the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease. Lifitegrast blocks an interaction between proteins involved in immune cell activity, although its exact role in treating dry eye disease is not known.

Treatment of the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease (DED).

Side effects
Common side effects include irritation where the drops are applied, changes in taste, and reduced sharpness of vision. Each was reported in 5%–25% of people using Xiidra. Serious allergic reactions (hypersensitivity) can occur. Contact a doctor if you experience an allergic reaction.

If symptoms are severe or getting worse quickly, seek emergency care rather than waiting.

Do not use Xiidra if you have a known allergy to lifitegrast or any of its other ingredients.

Dosing
