About Monjuvi
Overview
Monjuvi (tafasitamab-cxix) is a monoclonal antibody used with lenalidomide to treat adults with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), not otherwise specified, that has returned or has not responded to treatment. This includes DLBCL arising from low-grade lymphoma, in people who are not eligible for an autologous stem cell transplant. It binds to a protein called CD19 on B cells, including cancerous B cells, helping the immune system destroy them and triggering cell death. This use has FDA accelerated approval based on treatment response rates; continued approval may depend on further trials confirming clinical benefit.
What it treats
• Used with lenalidomide to treat adults with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), not otherwise specified, that has returned or has not responded to treatment, including DLBCL arising from low-grade lymphoma, when they are not eligible for an autologous stem cell transplant (using their own stem cells).
Safety information
Side effects
Common side effects include low white blood cell counts, tiredness, anemia (low red blood cell counts), diarrhea, low platelet counts, cough, fever, swelling in the limbs, respiratory tract infections and decreased appetite. Serious side effects that warrant contacting a doctor include infusion-related reactions, reduced blood cell production and bacterial, fungal or viral infections. Infections can occur during or after treatment. Blood counts need monitoring, and treatment may need to be interrupted or stopped depending on severity. Tell the healthcare team immediately about any reaction during an infusion. Monjuvi may harm an unborn baby. Use effective contraception if you could become pregnant, and contact your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment.

Dosing

Storage
Store in the original carton to protect it from light. Check the pack for whether it must be refrigerated before first use. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
