About Miebo
Overview
Miebo contains perfluorohexyloctane and is a sterile, clear, colourless liquid for use in the eyes. It treats the signs and symptoms of dry eye disease. It forms a thin layer on the surface of the tear film that is expected to reduce evaporation, although its exact way of working in dry eye disease is not known.

Side effects
Blurred vision and eye redness are the most commonly reported side effects of Miebo. Contact a doctor promptly if blurred vision persists or worsens, or if you develop eye pain, marked redness or swelling, or other changes in vision.

If symptoms are severe or getting worse quickly, seek emergency care rather than waiting.
Before taking this medicine
Do not use Miebo if you have a known allergy to perfluorohexyloctane.
Interactions
No specific drug, food or supplement interactions have been established for perfluorohexyloctane. Tell your doctor about all medicines and supplements you use, especially other eye drops or eye treatments. Ask whether these need to be separated from Miebo and in what order to use them.
