Before taking this medicine

Do not take Juluca if you have previously had an allergic reaction to dolutegravir or rilpivirine, or if you take any of the following: • Dofetilide, because Juluca may increase its blood levels and cause serious or life-threatening effects. • Carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital or phenytoin. • Rifampin or rifapentine. • Systemic dexamethasone given as more than a single treatment. • St John’s wort. • Proton pump inhibitors, such as esomeprazole, lansoprazole, omeprazole, pantoprazole or rabeprazole. The medicines listed above other than dofetilide can significantly reduce rilpivirine levels, which may lead to loss of viral control. Severe skin and allergic reactions have been reported with Juluca’s individual ingredients. These may include rash, other symptoms affecting the body, and organ problems, including liver injury. Stop Juluca immediately and seek medical attention if signs of a severe skin or allergic reaction develop; delaying treatment withdrawal may lead to a life-threatening reaction. Liver toxicity has been reported, and monitoring is recommended. Depressive disorders have also been reported; severe depressive symptoms require immediate medical evaluation. During pregnancy, rilpivirine levels were generally lower than after childbirth.
