About IMJUDO
Overview
IMJUDO contains tremelimumab-actl, a monoclonal antibody medicine. It is used with durvalumab to treat adults with hepatocellular carcinoma, a type of liver cancer, that cannot be removed by surgery. It is also used with durvalumab and platinum-based chemotherapy to treat adults with non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and has no sensitizing EGFR mutations or ALK gene abnormalities. It works by blocking CTLA-4, a protein that limits the activity of immune cells called T cells, allowing these cells to become more active.
What it treats
- Hepatocellular carcinoma (a type of liver cancer) that cannot be removed by surgery, in adults, in combination with durvalumab. - Metastatic non-small cell lung cancer in adults whose tumours have no sensitizing EGFR mutation or ALK gene alteration, in combination with durvalumab and platinum-based chemotherapy.
Safety information
Side effects
Common side effects include rash, diarrhea, tiredness and muscle, bone or joint pain. Itching and abdominal pain are also common in patients with unresectable liver cancer. Nausea and decreased appetite are also common in patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. In patients with unresectable liver cancer, common blood test changes include increased liver enzymes and bilirubin, and decreased hemoglobin, sodium and lymphocytes. Contact your doctor promptly about serious side effects. IMJUDO can cause immune-system reactions that may be severe or fatal and can affect any organ or tissue. These include inflammation of the lungs, bowel, liver, kidneys, skin or pancreas, and problems with hormone-producing glands. Kidney inflammation can impair kidney function. Reactions during an infusion can require slowing, interrupting or permanently stopping treatment. Tell your healthcare team immediately if you have a reaction during an infusion. Serious immune-system reactions may also require treatment to be withheld or permanently stopped, depending on their type and severity.

If symptoms are severe or getting worse quickly, seek emergency care rather than waiting.
Before taking this medicine
The label lists no contraindications for IMJUDO. IMJUDO can cause severe or fatal immune-related reactions affecting any organ or tissue, including the lungs, bowel, liver, hormone-producing glands, kidneys, skin and pancreas. Monitoring is needed to identify and manage these reactions early. Blood tests to assess liver enzymes, kidney function, adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) levels and thyroid function are needed before treatment and before each dose. Treatment may need to be withheld or permanently stopped depending on the reaction. Infusion-related reactions may require the infusion to be interrupted, slowed or permanently stopped. IMJUDO can harm an unborn baby. Those who could become pregnant should use effective contraception. Do not breastfeed during treatment.
