About Epiduo Forte
Overview
Epiduo Forte is a skin gel containing adapalene, a retinoid, and benzoyl peroxide. It is used to treat acne in adults and children aged 12 years and older. Benzoyl peroxide kills bacteria and helps shed the outer layer of skin, while adapalene affects skin cell development and inflammation, although how these adapalene effects contribute to treating acne is not fully understood.

Side effects
Common side effects include skin irritation, eczema, atopic dermatitis and a burning sensation. Redness, peeling, dryness, stinging and contact dermatitis caused by irritation or allergy may also occur. Skin irritation may require stopping treatment; contact your doctor if it develops. Severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis and angioedema (swelling), have been reported with benzoyl peroxide products. Seek urgent medical help if a severe allergic reaction occurs. Avoid sunlight and sunlamps. When sun exposure cannot be avoided, use broad-spectrum sunscreen and wear protective clothing.

If symptoms are severe or getting worse quickly, seek emergency care rather than waiting.

Do not use Epiduo Forte if you have previously had an allergic reaction to benzoyl peroxide or any other ingredient in the product. Severe allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis and angioedema (swelling), have been reported with benzoyl peroxide products. Avoid sunlight and sunlamps during use. If sun exposure cannot be avoided, use broad-spectrum sunscreen and wear protective clothing. Epiduo Forte may cause redness, scaling, dryness, stinging, burning, or skin inflammation due to irritation or allergy. These reactions may require stopping treatment.

Storage
