About TICOVAC
Overview
TICOVAC is a vaccine containing inactivated tick-borne encephalitis virus. It is used to help prevent tick-borne encephalitis (TBE) in people aged 1 year and older. It works by prompting the body to produce antibodies that neutralize the virus and are believed to provide protection.

Side effects
In children aged 1–15 years, the most common side effects were tenderness or pain at the injection site, headache, fever and restlessness. In people aged 16–65 years, the most common side effects were tenderness or pain at the injection site, tiredness, headache and muscle pain.
Before taking this medicine
Do not receive TICOVAC if you have had a severe allergic reaction, such as anaphylaxis, to any of its components.
Using TICOVAC
Dosing
Dosing is set by your prescriber. Each health care professional may prescribe medication differently according to a patient's medical history and condition, so follow the directions on your prescription label and speak to your doctor or pharmacist before changing anything.
Storage
Store in the original carton to protect it from light. Check the pack for whether it must be refrigerated before first use. Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
