About Ilumya

Overview

Ilumya contains tildrakizumab, a monoclonal antibody medicine. It is used to treat moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in adults who are candidates for systemic treatment or light therapy. It works by blocking interleukin-23 (IL-23), a protein involved in immune and inflammatory responses, reducing the release of signals that promote inflammation.

Contact a doctor if you develop signs or symptoms of a significant new or ongoing infection. If a serious infection develops, your doctor may consider stopping treatment until it resolves.

Before taking this medicine

Do not use Ilumya if you have previously had a serious allergic reaction to tildrakizumab or any of its other ingredients. If a serious allergic reaction occurs during treatment, stop Ilumya immediately and seek medical care. Ilumya may increase the risk of infection. Seek medical advice if you develop signs or symptoms of a significant new or ongoing infection. If a serious infection develops, your prescriber may consider stopping treatment until it resolves. You should be evaluated for tuberculosis (TB) before starting treatment. Avoid live vaccines while using Ilumya.
