Before taking this medicine

Do not take Cobenfy if you have urinary retention (difficulty emptying the bladder due to retained urine), gastric retention (the stomach does not empty properly), moderate or severe liver impairment, untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, or a history of an allergic reaction to Cobenfy or trospium chloride. Cobenfy is not recommended for people with mild liver impairment or moderate to severe kidney impairment. Tell your prescriber if you have a blockage at the bladder outlet, incomplete bladder emptying, a gastrointestinal blockage, biliary disease, or narrow-angle glaucoma. Older adults and people with bladder-emptying problems have a higher risk of urinary retention. Cobenfy can slow movement through the digestive tract and may increase heart rate. Liver enzymes, bilirubin and heart rate should be checked before treatment and monitored as clinically indicated. Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat has been reported. Cobenfy should be stopped if signs or symptoms of substantial liver injury occur. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how Cobenfy affects you.
