About Cequa
Overview
Cequa is a prescription eye drop medicine containing cyclosporine, supplied in a vial. It is used to increase tear production in people with keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye). It is thought to work by partly modifying the immune response in eyes where inflammation suppresses tear production, although its exact mechanism is not known.
What it treats
To increase tear production in patients with keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye).

Side effects
The most common side effects are pain when the drops are applied (22%) and eye redness (6%). To help prevent eye injury and contamination, do not let the vial tip touch your eye or other surfaces.
